Final exit route doors – the one leading to outside. I think should have a blue and white sign on the outside saying “Fire Exit” keep clear” in white writing in a blue circle and white background. Then a sign on the inside which is green and white on the top saying “Fire exit” and a pictogram man going through an open doorway. Then under it in blue and white the words “keep clear” and pictogram of an exclamation mark.

This is correct, isn’t it?

Don’t you just hate it the more you think about something the more you question yourself.

It is just that I noticed on my travels last week (can’t remember where), the Green / white / blue white one on the outside of a door as I drove past. It conveys a similar message, but is not the correct sign ( I think). Mr Google just shows examples of this sign on both sides of the door (and that is from sign suppliers!). I think it is the addition of the pictogram that is throwing me.

Just a few moments of insanity getting to me.

Yup correct. If you think of it logically the green man indicates the direction you should be travelling to a place of safety. If this was shown on the outside door then it would be advising you to go inside (presumably towards the fire)?
