I'm seeking advice from any electrical experts please regarding the requirement for a landlord to test/inspect electrical night storage heaters.  I'm told that they don't fall under periodic fixed wire tests or as portable appliances (PAT).  Really looking for the legal duty on the landlord, what the test involves and at what frequency.

Apologies if terminology isn't correct but hope I've made some sence.

Thanks

Hi

Swich off and isolate the supply to them and proved dead. (usually D.P. switch or spur unit) You'll need to be electrically competant for this.

The real term for this is not P.A.T. by the way it's  'In-service inspection and testing'.

RA for period between tests

Good place to look is....
