Hi, I am looking for a supplier of videos/films regarding workplace accidents ideally relating to machinery.  I have looked on the internet but can't seem to find a provider.  I remember watching a film a while ago about scaffolding falling and injuring a passerby.  Ideally we would like something similar relating to machinery.  Can anyone suggest where I might go?  Thanks in advance.

The video was by SGB access and is called "In the Real world"

Found on youtube, at  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mQVwLXho_c

it has german subtitles on it, but at least is available, perhaps you can find without subtitles.

forklift one - Klaus (bit ott) but provides a discussion points...

In addition, you can contact Lattitude productions for other videos re accidents / consequences for making people think: ask them ref Jen Deeney and Ken Woodward.

I have a document of resources I have found in the past but would need to forward as it's in word and can't post attachment or link to dropbox with open acces here. ( contact via linked in for email)

thanks

Stuart

What are the learning objectives you want to achieve? Who are the audience? How can video help?

Choose wisely.

thanks 1 user thanked aud for this useful post.

From past experience, bought in videos are never exactly what you want or bear much of a resemblence to what actually goes on in your work environment. If you present such a video you will have to keep saying "yes I know this doesn't apply in our organisation" & you will soon lose credibility.

Have you thought of producing your own? This way you can be very specific on your messages/learning outcomes & with any luck you may discover some budding thespians in your workforce!

It doesn't have to be expensive & a number of Colleges/Universities who have Media Departments are usually more than happy to take part as both a learning exercise for the students & a source of cash revenue.
