NVQ Level 5 Equivalent

Hey,

I am just enquiring what is the equivalent to an NVQ level 5 in degree terms, I am getting mixed responses online including Wikipedia saying that it is a Masters Degree/PHD level, which i am sure that it is not.

Off the top of my head, I think a standard degree is a 5 & an Honours degree is a 6.

Level 5 is a Foundation degree, Level 6 a Batchelor's, Level 7 is a Master's, Level 8 is a PHD

In short if you are more hands on and are not academically minded the NVQ is a good route. Also if you wish to remain within a specific sector this is a good qualification.

However, if you are academically minded and looking at transferable skills the diploma level 6 is the best.

Thanks for all your help, but a lot of contradicting information even with the sources, i will stick with what city and guilds say as this is who is issuing the qualification.
