Rank: Forum user		Whilst going about their everyday duties around driving a driver noted feeling a twinge in thier knee such that it became swollen and painful. There was no event as such that appear to cause the issue to arise however given it took place whilst they were at work it may be seen as a work related accident or is it.....? Thoughts welcomed...

Rank: Super forum user		Well it isn't an accident becuase it wasn't a traumatic event or injury. Only a doctor could tell you if the issue is either age related general "wear and tear" or excessive for the age of the person and possibly work related which would require investigations to identify the severity and distribution of the problem. Unfortunately these things happen when we age and there are often multiple factors involved in the causation there may be some contribution due to work but it is difficult to quantify.

Rank: Super forum user		No, it is not a 'work-related' accident because despite being at work there must be a causal factor which can be directly attributed it. An accident is ‘work-related’ if any of the following played a significant role: the way the work was carried out any machinery, plant, substances or equipment used for the work or the condition of the site or premises where the accident happened
