Good Morning IOSH community.

Having tralled the web and to no avail, I wish to access or download a simple set of setting up/erecting temporary fencing procedures (2 metre high closed guage mesh type) for site auditing purposes, could anyone put me in touch or  tell me where I can access such operational requirement/instructions (obviously subject to availibility and copyright restrictions) which will help meet Design Complexity Risk 0 category, again, purely for site auduting purposes.

Any replies will be greatly appreciated.

Damian

You will not fine much in the way of generic guidance. Site fencing has to be erected as per the manufactures instructions and common sense, which is a constant battle.  I encourage sites to do a risk assessment so that they choose the right fencing or hoarding for the particulars and features of the site – security, crowds, wind, access, space etc.

It is rare to be able to erect all of it as per the manufactures stylised instructions so a degree of common sense is required.
