I am looking for an individual or company who can translate english H&S documentaiton (predominanelt risk assessments and method statements) into other European languages, the immediate requirement is for a French translation

Ideally i am looking for someone who understands the docuemntation as it is, so can translate the H&S content correctly

If anyone knows where i can get this service, please let me know

Consider looking at the local university - they may well have someone who can assist or indeed a language specialist or student either French speaking or developing French? Just a thought.

The Institute of Translation and Interpreting is the only UK-based independent professional membership association for practising translators, interpreters and language services businesses.

Check them on the website https://www.iti.org.uk/

They will have what are you looking for.

You can use Google Translator for just text or you can drag and drop whole documents into "free online document translator" (google it) and it will keep all of the original formatting, etc - both are free

I do not recommend online translators as they are not always correct. Translations depend of the context. I am talking from personal experience. Having proper translation will ensure that information which you want to pass will be understand by others.

A consultant who worked for me is fluent in Spanish and French. He's produced work for overseas companies for me in the past and not had any issues with it. Happy to put you in touch with him. Email me on info@gpess.com and I will forward you his details.

Thanks,

G
