We need to access a manhole, chest height deep to make good the chamber brickwork.

Duration of work will be approx 30 mins.

Will confined spaces training be required and if so will the operative need to be harnessed and tripod connected for this depth ?

Hummm not quite enough info but i would put a gas monitor in the hole to start with to see if there are any issues this help determine if Low Medium or High risk, for starters before anyone even thinks to enter depending on whats in the hole or runs through it. You may be able to put a pipe block in to aid stop gasses-fluids coming into the hole also. Scince only chest depth if found to be ok then also put a gas monitor on your man no matter what the outcome
