Is OHSAS 18001 MS  is still valid or it has been replaced by the system ISO 45000?

What about the certification for OHSAS 18001 MS also need to be transfer in ISO 45000

Is there any course for lead auditor for ISO 45000 and is it approved by IRCA and available Internationaly

Hi there,

OHSAS 18001 is still a valid management system standard to which you can have certification.

It is due to be withdrawn in just under 3 years' time.  By then, anyone who wants certification should have changed over to ISO 45001.  If you already have 18001 this should not be too onerous as you will not have to start from the beginning, and your certifying body will help with the transition.  It will be an upgrade rather than a complete new certification process.

The accredited certifying bodies offer auditing courses so I suggest finding out who is accredited in your country and seeing what they can provide.

I hope that helps,
