Anyone know where I could possibly download a free copy of ISO 19600 Compliance Management System Standard? Before I proceeed and purchase a copy.

Thanks and regards,

You can't get free copies of BS - it is breach of copyright and BSI come down very hard on anyone offering free downloads.  The best you might find is a free summary document somewhere but the normal rule is that if you need a British Standard then you have to get your wallet out!!

Half-price if you're a member off BSI.

Just downloaded it from university, get a bsi account or perhaps you have a colleague in your organisation who has one already.

member price states it's £99.00 however none is £199.00 I am sure you can speak to someone at BSI about how to get it and expense, or via a client/your existing auditors you use?

if you have interns, or placement students associated with a university, they may have access via their library for non-commercial use, so they may have access and one of their activities could be a project for them to undertake?

I do wonder sometimes about people asking for free (and illegal) copies of various standards. These documents are expensive to buy in themselves; £200 is a fairly typical price but that cost is less than the overall cost of implementing the standard: the gap analysis, the training, document control system etc.  Applying a standard even for a simple operation can cost thousands and these costs include an annual cost. So the £200 is really  marginal  in the scheme of things.

If you really need the standard you must be able to implement it fully and accept those costs.

It looks like some people are looking to cut corners and want get certification “on the cheap”, and to do the barest minimum to get the paperwork through. In that case is there any point: you may have certificate on the wall  but will it make the place  any safer?
