Hi In public estates (countryside) where the public have a right of way, and there are access roads throughout, what responsibilities would the owners/occupiers have in regards to public safety in extreme weather? For example, high winds that cause trees to fall on vehicle paths or put pedestrians at risk from falling branches etc.?
Thanks

Thanks - that's very useful. I would think there's not much more that can be done (beyond inspections by competent persons etc. as outlined in that docment) when nature decides to strike! We've had a perfectly healthy - large - tree, which has been inspected within the last month, ripped out of the ground onto a vehicle path due to high winds.......
