Hi All,

I am looking for examples of PUWER risk assessments, I would like to compare with the PUWER risk assessment and improve the assessment and process of our work equipment.

Thank you,

Gary.

Have a look at the assessment form in the back of Health and Safety in Engineering Workshops (HSG 129)

We use a proprietary software package so that all assessments follow a structured approach, and this leads you through the requirements and gives you a mechanism for scoring the hazards you see by the HRN system to prioritise any remedial works required.

For internal only use don't think that the documentation is that critical, it is more the understanding of the hazards and the technology that I find people struggle with, then attributing some order to the findings to see what is most critical.

So knowledge of the engineering, potential hazards, and standards is IMHO the most important to be able to evaluate the equipment hazards, and compare to current state of the art, which, would you would expect eliminate the hazards AFARP.
