Hi All,
Looking for some working at height advice. I'm currently on a project where personnel are required to carry out high level inspections on electrical equipment off a gantry walkway via a A-Frame or podium ladder. The risk is that once the operative is up on the ladder they are above the handrail on the gantry. The following has being suggested but I have my concerns on this:
- Ladder to be footed at all times - Fall protection via a harness or sling with 100% tie off to anchorage point (note there is no designated anchorage point, handrail or other sufficient achorage points have being proposed) - Rescue plan in place Ideally I would like scaffold tubing in place as an anchorage point and not have operatives using different anchorage points. Has anyone came across a similar situation to this??
