Are there any specific information in relation to the inspection and replacement of welding masks - other than the PPE at Work Regs 1992.

We have a selection of Engineers that use welding equipment and the company that I have not long started working for have provided them with 2 full face masks. I have no idea how old they are or what the requirements are for replacing them; I can't seem to locate the instruction pamphlet for them. Anyone with experience of using welding equipment or managing welders know if it is required as per manufacturer instructions?

Thank you

"Welders understand that the fumes and gases produced from their work can lead to serious illness. The danger and amount of exposure to the welders depend on the type of work being done, the rod, filler metals, base metals, coatings, contaminants, as well as the amount of ventilation and respiration protection"  https://pksafety.com/blo...rself-from-welding-fumes
But first, you have to know what fumes are present.....you could always assume the worst....but most places will have the workplace air sampled....sometimes!!
