We now have lpg on site and will require to do a DSEAR risk assessment. Can anyone assist by providing an example to refer to? I have looked on google as I want to ensure I do not miss anything being my first one but cannot seem to find one. Thank you.

How much LPG do you have on site?

Just follow the DSEAR ACOP L138

Identify the DSEAR materials & properties

Assess how they are used and handled/stored etc.

Identify credible accidents/releases

Identify the potential for fire and/or explosion and potential consequences

Assess what ventilation you have

Determine if you have any hazardous areas - and to what extent and what grade Zone 1, 2 etc

Identify what mechanical and electrical equipment you have in hazardous areas - is it the right specification?

What options do you have to reduce/minimise hazardous areas.

Review/integrate into your fire risk assessment and emergency plans for the site

Look at staff training and competence.

Are containers and pipelines adequately signed/labelled/colour coded

If people work inside hazardous areas - is their PPE of the correct specification.
