Hi Learned friends Obviously even though hot weather is not as often as we may like we still have to ensure reasonable comfort where possible. One way of this would be Lightweight hot weather workwear so just wondered what your chaps advised for in your areas ie HiVis T-Shirts etc or any advice really

Yes thanks for that, I was aware of that page and overall thermal comfort issues but i was more after specifics like peoples own oreferences in what they had found with regards best clothing ie Hi-Vis T-Shirts and best lightweight fabrics etc.

We use loose (one size too big) long sleeve Hi Vis Orange vests with collar and mesh ventilated underarms & side seams (about £15 to £20) and loose cotton cargo pants. Also use foreign legion hat type arrangement underneath the hard hat to protect your neck.

Lightweight hi-vis polo shirts are good for hot weather and does not require the user to wear a hi-vis vest/tabbard on top of other clothing. These can be ordered in short or long sleeve versions..

We have gone down the breathable Hi-Viz polo shirt route, and we are trialling the Centurion Kalis Hardhat cooling pad system https://centurionsafety.eu/product/kalis-dry-cooling-system/ with positive feedback from the guys on site.
We've also set up cool down areas: designated safe zones barriered off with a fan and water fountain where the Ops can also take off PPE whilst they cool down.

Whateber clothing you decide upon please check that it has an adequate UV protection rating. Many lightweight articles offer little protection against UV and some can even increase the potential effect.
