Hi we are going to be doing some work at height and using a forklift truck and safety cage, the workers in the cage are wearing harnesses & fixed/restraint lanyards. do we have to do a Safety rescue plan? I have already done a risk assessment and a safe system of work. Thanks

Does your SSOW include the cage to be affixed to the forks to prevent the possibility of it sliding off?

A rescue plan is required to ensure a cage operator can be lowered to the ground if in difficulty, where there is noone operating the controls at ground level.
I assume the fork lift operator will remain at the controls, and this written into the safe syatem of work, therfore no need for the rescue plan?
