Titter ye not, Phil. I have been involved in an apocryphal "washing of the cat out of the tree" exercise. It was after 3 days aloft and we couldn't get an aerial up there to precisely aim 700 lpm at the offending moggy; nevertheless, the RSPCA officer sanctioned the effort. We also held the traditional "catch the cat in the salvage sheet" competition: we failed, the said cat preferring to produce a resounding splat (after falling 30 feet on to the adjacent concrete) before scampering away with, apparently, little more than its pride hurt.
