Dear Colleagues, There is a requirement from old soviet era which bans conducting of hot work at night hours in hazardous, explosive and fire-hazardous areas except in emergency cases. Such rules are still in force in some post soviet republics and in some countries like China, Malaysia. Our company has to conduct hot work 24 hours hot work due to some maintenance work but it is not an emergency maintenance activities. I will develop a position paper to defend the company bringing examples from internationally recognized standards. Request: Would highly appreciate your experiences and advices based on internationally recognised standards / guidelines about requirements of open flame work.
