Can anyone give me some direction on the provision of emergency lighting in hotel bedrooms that are above ground with windows but no 'borrowed' lighting at night, please?
I realise that provision is determined by risk assessment but wondered if there is any relevant guidance, aside from the general comments in the CLG guide on fire safety in sleeping accomodation.
Any help would be appreciated.

Additionally some of the very modern systems are such that the emergency light is not always obvious to the untrained so looking for the older types and they not being there may result in people thinking that no provision is present when it is - I learnt this on a new build recently when I was still thinking of systems that were installed a number of years ago and the designer looked at me as if I was from a museum
