Hey all Excuse my ignorance but someone has asked me if I knew anything about keratin treatment formaldehyde?? Apparently it has something to do with a Brazilian blow dry....Sorry this is not a Friday funny! anyone know anything about it? cheers

I would be cautious about using any product containing formaldehyde unless I had data on the concentration in the product as applied. Formaldehyde is a potent sensitiser on skin contact. Patch testing is done at 1% in water, so any concentration above this is certainly to be avoided. Chris
