In all the postings I have made on this site (not a lot, I admit) I have never felt as though I need to put pen to paper in a rant before; however - I now feel the need. This link was sent through as part of an overall on-line magazine (a lot of forum members will probably get this too) and was intrigued enough to read the headline and then the content. H&S gets the blame in the headline yet, further down the article, it correctly gives the reason as fear of litigation. Having seen quite a few of these headline types in the past I have always thought 'oh well...' and carried on but this is way beyond anything else as it is actively encouraging the myth that H&S is stopping our children playing!!! AAAAHHH! rant over and here's the link for those that are interested. http://www.essentialskil...-safety-restrictions_179 Signing off now

Sloppy thinking That’s the problem with this country not ‘Elf and Safety’. There seems to be this perception that by using the right buzz words and phrases you can say anything that comes into your head. Just look at the Muppets that appear on ‘The Apprentice’. Health and safety really involves clear logical thinking from first principles and this seems to throw too many people. At times I wish the moderators would let us swear a bit!
