Teh Boy, All the very best in your new adventure as a consultant, don't be a stranger to this forum.

I tried being a consultant a few years ago, didn't work out as I knew nothing about brain surgery, they soon caught on and marched me out the door. Please read a few books on what ever your consulting in before you start, that's my tip for your Friday thread.......

Might be best to consider another logo for your new role rather than the one shown shown with your details above. However, it might appeal to any pirates who think they need to engage a consultant for some OS&H advice!

Another thought: Though it's not yet Friday for the usual helpings of frivolity on this forum, try thinking of today as Friday + 5 or alternatively Friday - 2. Adjust the numbers accordingly to justify humour and frivolity on any day of the week !!!!

I did the same thing 22 months ago after 23 years in industry and I haven't regretted it for a single moment. Good luck and keep tweeting on the progress!

Do you mean the move from industry or the adjusting of figures, Heather?

Tweeting finger at the ready - maybe I should even give it a #tag :) (although i'm not sure how they work to be honest)

Thanks for reasuring words all, I am really excited - will relax once I manage to move house. I might go dark on the forums for a week though.

Good luck teh_boy and don't forget where your friends are - we look forward to your future requests for information on topics you didn't know you don't know about.

Good luck with your move. Just remember that you have some friends out there and that together we are often stronger than each on their own. So keep in touch. Enjoy the freedom to make your own decisions, even though some of them may not turn out quite as you intended. Having been independent (well apart from wife and younger daughter as partners) since 1979 I could never go back to being employed - not that anyone would have me at my age!
