Hello,

I am looking to find the equivalent of the Highway Code, and the enforcing body for traffic law in the following countries: France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, South Africa, Australia, Netherlands, Belgium and Austria. I know that this may be a tall call but after numerous Google searches etc I am not having too much luck! Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Scott.

I don’t think there is. What are you looking for? Is it a list of road signs etc? If that is the case there is the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic and the Vienna Convention on Road Signs and Signals, which is international guidance on road signs ( is not binding but it might give some information) Each country’s Transport ministry will give its own set of rules. But how seriously these rules are taken also seem to vary between countries.

Have you tried our motoring organisations, e.g. AA, RAC. I have found that they can often provide considerable information on this.
