Hi all does anyone know of the options in becoming a CDMc and initial membership? Cheers Dave

Intitial reference is Appendix 4 of CDM ACoP L144 available free as pdf from hse website. Relevant experience is critical, there is no purely academic route to CDM-C role.

I would stress, that although acheiiving membership of the APS (RMAPS) is now easier than before, being a competent CDMC is not about a few qualifications and ticking applocation boxes. I strongly suggest that all potential CDMC's question their own competence intently before applying for positions or freelancing. Please bear in mind that there are massive legal implications for both yourself and the client if you get it wrong.. not to mention the knock on safety effects your incompetence could have on the safety of all involved in the life span of the structure concerned. Competence is the key.... made up of KATE... knowledge, ability, training and expertise
