Short and sweet - How can I tell whether a roller shutter is fire rated?

If you haven't already done so, check with the people who instaled it and ask for the specification. Im pretty sure it needs to be to BSEN 1634-1 which should be marked on it somewhere, but this may depend on the age of the shutter.
If you dont know who installed it and when etc maybe worth calling around a few shutter compaines.
