Very tall female employee has recently had a back operation resulting in the removal of a disk in the lower back. She is keen to be back at work and is undergoing a phased return, working for 3 hours per day (plus a one hour commuute each way by public transport.
The employee has previously been provided with a specialist chair (hence the reference to her being very tall) but this has not been entirelty successful - the main problem being that the seat, whilst adjustable, is too short to support the thighs properly.
We are looking to source a higher spec chair that will accomodate both her back problem and have an adequate seat. If anybody has experience of this and can recommend suppliers / manufactures in the London area we would be very grateful.
Many thanks

When we have had this situation we have contacted Access to Work which is available through the Job Centre (who have helpfully closed their webpage down!). They will provide an assessor who will recommend a suitable chair and will pay part of the cost.
