By coming 30 September, competent Infoline operators will increase the list of redundant? The domino effect of the financial crisis continue and also as concluded the beginning of the end for the HSE?

I think the emasculation of the HSE started when the HSC/HSE merged into one body some years ago.

I did hear that the Info line may be continued under totally private hands but I have no foundation that this is true.

Although I do not support ad-hoc reduction of the HSE's budget, the decision to change the HSC into the HSE Board, in my view was sensible, very much on the lines of the structure the Environment Agency has since its creation in the 1990's. Also, there was a consultation. I cannot find the IOSH response as our archive of consultation responses iis upto 2009, but the documents are at:- http://www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/hse-consult-report.pdf http://www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/hs-at-work.pdf http://www.hse.gov.uk/consult/condocs/cd210.htm The make up of the HSE Board is similar to the members of HSC.
