Hi folks
Sorry if this has been asked before but I'm new to IOSH. I've been tasked with creating an HSE newsletter for my site. I was thinking of keeping it to 2 sides of A4 with short articles on the front and longer more detailed ones on the back. My audience is a mix of engineers, shop floor workers and office staff. Any tips on creating a newsletter or examples of successful ones would be really helpful.

Why not subscribe to newsletters from H&S bodies and critique their content. Try the HSE (content good, appearance not great), BSC, good look and content...lots more to choose from

I have written a number of newsletters and I try to keep topics pertinent to the industry if possible, with a mix of different topics. I included a 'Did you know' article for each newsletter, a short article about a particular subject or legislation. Nothing wrong a bit of humour either, assuming you can find something amusing in health and safety.
I probably have some examples if you care to PM me.

If you want the newsletter to be read, try to write the articles so they are of direct interest to the reader - then work some health and safety into them. If you write the whole thing with a heavy health and safety focus, there is a good chance people won't read it.
