Afternoon,
Apologies if this has been asked before but our awesome search facility didn't yield any results....
Has anyone has their FLT's limited?
If so, to what speed?
External / Internal differences?
Did this have the desired effect?
Experiences and comments welcomed.
Ian

Many thanks for your PM Mr. Smurf.
We actually have the limiters fitted already but are unsure as to what limits to use.

We have ours limited to 10kph for internal and external use (we have a 10mph limit in our yard in any case, but counterbalances for external use are also used inside).
We tried to benchmark other retailers and found no universally agred limit, however the majoiry (60% ish) operated a 10kph limit.
We attempted to be scientific in looking at reaction times / braking distances at 10kph and deemed this to satisfactory for the surroundings in which they are required to be used.
Post implementation feedback has been positive with operatives and pedetrians feeling the risk is better controlled now. Accident / incidne t rates were not high before the change, however we have had no accidents or incidents re MHE use since either.
Hope this helps.

All ours are set at 7kph. We mainly use LLOP's though which work in quite close proximity to pedestrians.
