Under RIDDOR on a construction site, who is responsible for reporting a reportable injury which happened and was caused by a subcontractor - the principal contractor or the subcontractor's employer?

Sharks I assume that the injured person was at work when the injury occurred and so if reportable (major or over 3 day) then its their employer, you have not said who employed the injured person. Brian

If the sub contractor is an employee of an employer, then it is that employers responsibility. On the other hand if the sub contractor is genuinely self employed, then it would be the person in control of the premises; I suggest the PC
