All,

I'm looking to put in a place managers safety files that will provide key info for department and site managers, can anyone help with guidance and advice and what to put into the files, suggestions and templates for content will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Scott,

I did exactly the same thing at my last place of work as we wanted essential safety information readily available for operational managers without them having to log on to computers or go looking for it.

We included things like the last few company safety newsletters, relevant toolbox talks, relevant risk assessments, master copies of rafe systems of work for their area, blank accident and incident forms etc etc.

All properley seperated out and indexed. In fact we got the file incorporated into the company file structure so regardless of its content or on which site you worked it always had the same title (we gave it a number) and it was always in the same place - the managers operational office.

It was very well received and helped no end in getting managers buy in.
