Hi Sean; it depends upon how soon you want to do it and how much effort you are able/willing to put into the process - it is all down to and driven by you. Mine took me a bit over 18 months but I was not really working hard at it. I am sure if someone was willing and able to spare the time they should be able to complete n 6-9 months subject to interview dates and feed back from your folio (assuming it is all up scratch first time of submitting). Best advice is probably to contact IOSH and ask for a a mentor to be assigned to you to assist and guide you through the process, others may disagree but I found my mentor invaluable. Stuart

Sean I passed my NVQ 4 in November 2010, Grad IOSH in December 2010 and then sat the open book assessment in March 2011. I have my peer review interview on September 30th and if all goes well it will have taken me 10/11 months. If you get your head down and crack on it can be done in 6 - 12 months. there is another open book assessment in september this year if the closing date has not passed. steve

Sean, you may not need to do the open book, you may have to put a portfolio together (SDP) it depends upon which route you are in NVQ or Dip/Degree etc. Have a look here http://www.iosh.co.uk/my...ssional_development.aspx Stuart
