Hi,

Having a bit of an issue at present. We have arranged for CE Marking assessment of 6 items of equipment that were previously purchased from an american company. On purchase my company did not take own their legal duties as supplier and we did not complete any CE process.

We have now had the items assessed and building a technical file however there are still some outstanding documentation, e.g. Drawings, drawings of control circuitry, maintenance manual & instructions, etc.

The USA companies state they do not produce this information and we have had no luck getting any of this and without it we cannot complete the CE Marking process and get issued with Declaration of Conformity.

Would anyone be able to advice on this issue or help me a little?

Cheers

Hi,

Seems amazing that they don't provide at least a maintenance manual and instructions. How do they demonstrate compliance with OSHA requirements for the USA?
What are the risks presented by the machines, and how are they dealt with?
