Hi folks,
We are looking to re-paint our flooring in the workshop, and my MD has asked me to enquire if there are any legal requirements for colouring of walkways.
He believed that someone said it had to be green, but he isn't sure, and i had to admit i wasn't sure of any such legislation.
Does anyone know if marked walkways in a workshop have to be a specific colour, these walkways lead through the workshop and to fire exits also.
The main floor will be white.
Any advice would be great, but i expect we can paint it any colour we want.

There is no legal requirement for a specific colour. Often, they are yellow. But if the floor is white then you need something that is visible against that background.

Not a legal requirement but our walkways are green, to correspond to the green "safe condition" signage

If a staircase is involved then the stair nosing needs to be a contrasting colour to the rest of the step. This is a DDA requirement.
