Hello everyone,

I am looking for some inspiration.

Shortly, I will be undertaking a research project and I'm currently brainstorming my chosen topic, Gas safety. Gas safety in domestic and non-domestic premises. Installations, maintenance, commissioning etc.

Can you share some insight, experiences, Knowledge, comments, areas of concern etc. on how you think the industry is managed? Or what you think of the industry in general. I'm interested to hear from businesses, clients, engineers, HSE inspectors and consultants. All comments will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
TJ

I would think if you phoned the yellow pages and arranged a chat with a gas safe engineer for his/her views on your topic you would get good information- if they could spare you the time. Im sure if you persevere through the yellow pages, one of them would speak to you about it. Also speaking to professionals via linked in or on industry related forums might be helpful.

TJA,
Contact GasSafe themselves as I have found them very helpful.
I'm pretty sure if you contact HSE they will help IF they have the capacity to do so.

There are many "gas" related forums on the internet, however, please be wary of some and the posts there on.

I would also be wary of the term gas safe "engineer" as they are far from being engineers I'm afraid.
