Hiya

quick question, if I have an office within an office, in a basement, do I need 2 means of exit?

If an inner room you will need a vision panel or, preferably AFD with sounder to enable you to be alerted in case of fire.

Whatever the means of escape is may be suitable but the fire risk assessment will determine that.

Sorry Karen I cannot answer your question without seeing all of the issues. Look at the site below. Select the guide that best suits your situation (R/H side with grey background) and have a gander. Go for the free download, its cheaper.
