...old habits die hard. I have to say the jobs section was a sparse as I can remember - not good at all.

Ray, Maybe the rates are too high as there seems to be plenty via web based sites??

Indeed, but do they really exist?

Not sure about the ones in SHP as my IOSH subscription unfortunately expired with my current employer declining to renew. By the time I got to offer to renew myself a kind gentleman from IOSH informed me I had to reapply (enough of the tissue stuff!) Oddly enough I recently had an interview for a web based position with 2nd interview invite, another 1st interview confirmed both directly from employers. 4 further positions all via agencies all eager to say I'm a great candidate have now gone quiet.... very suspicious of course!... pinch of salt comes to mind! So reliance on SHP for vacancies..... not in this day and age I think!

Over the last few months I have been inundated with calls and emails from agencies...not one materialised into a job. I got my current role via Monster.jobs (hope I have not breached a forum rule) which cost me nothing and has an advantage over other sites specialising in h&s.

Fewer in number but apparently some better quality jobs on offer.
