Gents, I have been asked to prepare a general power point presentation which includes initiatives/programs/innovations that can demonstrate improvements to (safety) behavior, procedures, safety standards & overall risk reduction in an oil & gas industrial sector. The main objective of this presentation isto advances safety performance & awareness, human behavior change, demonstrate social, environmental financial benefits etc. please give me some guidelines to achieve an effective presentation which includes above thoughts. Your early response will be highly appreciated.

Vinod, Your question is very broad, so perhaps that's why responses have been slow? I'm aware of the general situation in Qatar, but not all current details. You say it's in an oil & gas context, but is that onshore, offshore or both? Are you being asked just about occupational hazards, or major hazards as well? Is it during the construction phase, or operations, or both (i.e. simultaneous ops)? Were you expecting responses with details of how much each initiative is likely to reduce the risk? - if so that expectation is unreasonable as each organisation varies, and so does the effectiveness with which a new initiative is implemented. Rather than expecting specific responses to your posting, I suggest you could identify good practices used widely in the sector, and summarise whether and how well your organisation is implementing them. For example, what about all the sectoral guidance available free from Step Change, OGP, Energy Institute? What about the experience of others in ME Branch and the members who meet regularly at TAMUQ in Doha? I hope this helps.
