The ASFP has drafted a new guidance document for Fire Risk Assessors to help them evaluate Passive Fire Protection (PFP) as part a fire risk assessment under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and national equivalents in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland. The association has produced it because it is aware that Fire Risk Assessors want this information in one relatively simple guidance document that uses a ‘common sense’ approach in evaluating PFP for means of escape. The consultation period will end at the end of October after which a revised document will be produced. http://www.asfp.org.uk/index.php
