We've recently had our 6 monthly lifting inspection onboard and the inspection lad stated that all stretcher lifting bridles (basket and paraguard stretchers) must be disposed of after 10 years… even if he states that they are safe. No problems with that, but it got me to wondering what about the actual stretcher itself, does this fall under the same guidance?
