From experience, most people I know have done the NEBOSH General Certificate to progress to TechIOSH.

i already have the general cert... i have just started my first main job as a health and safety advisor and i am looking to progress foward with my career

David I registered with IOSH to become an affiliate member in August and then provided the membership e-mail address with copies of my NEBOSH Certificate[s] and a breakdown of my recent career via CV including any recent H&S training [DSE Assessor etc] They acknowledged this - confirmed my membership was up for discussion [think the last one was October 11th] and you get confirmation apparently 3 weeks later if they are moving you from one group to another CDB
