After recommendations for courses in how to use a noise meter and carry out a noise assessment, for someone who has a basic health and safety background. I stress I'm not after recommendations of courses for someone to train in complex noise surveys but only in using noise meters and basic noise assessments.
(ie, the course isn't for me!)

Some of the manufacturers of NMs offer free training days. I would check out their websites. (Cirrus, Castle, among others)
