Hi Guys, Does anyone know where I can find up-to-date statistics for workplace FIRE fatalaties? Google just gives you a load of rubbish and HSE site is a waste of time. I need it for a presentation urgently!!!!! Lee

Am I mising something? The summary says that there were 227,000 total fires, and then breaks this down as: Dwelling Fires 36,000 Other buidlings 21,000 Road vehicles 28,000 I make this 85,000. Where are the other 142,000 fires???

I haven't looked at the linked report from BLEVE, but I would guess the other 142,000 fires are probably fires in the open i.e. fields/moors/woods, or unclassified fires, such as litter bins and other such wastes of time that fire-fighters the world over just love attending, despite many attempts at educating people that starting such fires is a potentially dangerous waste of time.

You could try here. Fire protection association https://www.thefpa.co.uk...seful_links/default.aspx Then use their links to get to wherever you need to.

I just called the fire brigade, their figures only seem to go to 2009, type statistics on the search box top right. They said to call Andy Vaun Davies tomorrow on 020 8555 1200 ask for the fire investigation team. The person i spoke to was very helpful.
