Im just starting a project to rejuvinate a very old risk assessment system at a medium sized, good old fashioned spit & sawdust engineering facility with lots of heavy machinery pre PUWER (50+ years) My initial thoughts were to group machines into categories within cells & then assess the machine as well as the inputs, outputs to the process & the working environment In the past I have also used a PUWER tick box assessment covering the main requirements for the machine, but that would involve a separate risk assessment for the process, environment & operator integration Any advice as to how other sites are managing this process well & have gone about the task in a lean manner would be appreciated
