Thanks for all your help with my last post (gritting). I am currently advising a FE College who have a support worker who will be having a 'hearing dog' with her at all times whilst working in the New Year. Can anyone suggest an information source please, or general observations when conducting this type of RA.

The best and unbeatable source is the worker herself.

Beyond PEEP, what risks do you need to assess?

You might also like to try - Hearing Dogs Uk www.hearingdogs.or.uk or Assistance Dogs International www.adionline.org

They may be able to assist you but I agree with "stuff" your first port of call should be the dogs owner.

I am equally not sure why you need to RA beyond PEEP.

The dog needs to be suitably managed as on many occasions 'seeing' dogs especially do their job and their 'master' gets on with their work without thinking where their dog lies down which is, in many situations, in walkways etc without any form of management thus getting in the way of other staff
