Hello all
For those that missed it:-

Seems that the vast majority think it is not a good idea, but it's going to happen anyway. However, the hourly rate has been pegged back to a mere £124 per hour.
Good to see another example of meaningful Government consultation.
Don't worry, it will all be fine.

Fabulous news for all consultants. We now have a benchmark hourly rate figure for H&S experts. Add on our consultancy skills and the figure reaches something quite respectable.
Now, where did I put the luxury yacht brochure...

Dream on 'Stuff', dream on. :-)
The brochure will be ok for lighting the fire though!
Come along now, everybody join in "Always look on the bright side of life, do, do, do, do, de doody do"

It was a fait acompli anyway...so I never bothered with the so-called consultation. Next time someone says "how can you justify that charge" I have a ready made answer - simples.

You are absolutely right, it was.
However, at least there is now documented evidence that the majority who did write in disagreed.
The powers-that-be cannot now claim a mandate from within H&S land.
For some reason that old poster of the mouse with single finger extended at the owl swooping down on him comes to mind!
