Does anyone know of an individual or company that can offer expert advice on health and safety for the construction of tall buildings. By tall I mean in excess of 40 storeys. Looking at methodology and in particular the prevention of falls from height.

I would have thought contacting some of the big construction companies will assist you.

I'm not so sure there is anything that special about WaH on large building as smaller buildings.

After about 20ft, I don't see that it matters if you fall 20ft or 200ft - the end result is likely to be the same.

Following the WaH hierarchy and associated good practice

Sorry to contradict you JJ but if you fall from 200ft you have better opportunity for doing a triple twist on the way down

Hello White28060
for work at height on multi-level builds the fall prevention is general built into the formwork (look at ischebeck) that is being used (RC Frame) when the levels complete we use edge protection called k-Guard or combisafe, this used in conjunction with fall arrest systems like alsiphercha.

Can you tell me what type of build you are looking at.
