Has anybody got any contacts for vending machine suppliers/services that can provide machines for issuing non prescription painkillers, cough medicines, throat lozenges etc.

Hi John Think it was about a year ago that these were covered in great depth in an extensive thread. If you can find it you should be able to find other people that use them.

http://www.mhra.gov.uk/H...endingmachines/index.htm http://www.nhs.uk/chq/Pa...73&SubCategoryID=101 Note that only medicine[s] on the General Sales List can be sold at places other than a pharmacy. That includes practically all cough medicines that actually do anything. From the ones I have seen, it seems that people are not willing to pay two quid for 16 paracetamol. A bit like coke machines at a quid a shot. And you don't have to worry about people purchasing over the allowed limit.....not at two quid for sixteen

Take note that yet another person has died this week because of taking to many non-prescription drugs so my advice is to get on with your core business and leave such things to others so not taking the chance of becoming the scape goat if something bad happens!

Bob, I appreciate your concern but this is a large company that currently supplies all types of non prescription medicine to employees through the occupational health service. This service is being stopped and the unions have requested the service to remain as vending. The project has been based on six sigma principles so pretty much every aspect has been identified and discussed positive and negative. In short, providing we follow the mhra guidance we believe we can maintain the service with reduced costs and minimum risk.
