I'll add to that since my Christmas starts this afternoon at 4pm. Thank you to all the forum users for their generosity, good will and professionalism throughout 2011. I wish all of you a grand Christmas and a safe and hopefully more prosperous 2012. Take care.

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2012, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make Britain great. Not to imply that Britain is necessarily greater than any other country. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee. :-)

I would like to thank everyone who has responded to my posts over the last year. A good mix of support, measured criticism, humour and the right answers; long may it continue. Seasons Greetings to all of you. Oh, and should there be an apostrophe in 'seasons' and, if so, before or after the 's'. Is Christmas a separate festive season to New Year? Something for us to ramble on about until the mods have had enough!

Season's greeting to all of you! 'Seasons Greetings' without the apostrophe – means greetings for many seasons.

Criticising the use of the apostrophe is discriminatory in terms of being educationally challenged, is it not? PVZ - You're posting is the best one this year. On any subject. I bow to your superior articulacy. 11 'lie ins' await me...zzz...
